Come help us celebrate 45 years of Excellence
honoring the Mass Communication Department!
Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015
Morris University Center, SIUE
SIUE’s Department of Mass Communications graduated its first class in 1970. Retired CBS Radio White House correspondent and award-winning journalist Peter Maer was included in this group. He returns to SIUE to recount his illustrious career and provide an insider’s look into the current state of American politics.
The William and Margaret Going Endowed Professorship Award recognizes an outstanding scholar in SIUE’s College of Arts and Sciences. Mass Communications Chair Dr. Elza Ibroscheva is the first recipient of this award from her department. She will discuss her research at the 2015 Going Lecture.
Mass Communications alumni, current and former faculty and staff, and students are invited to celebrate Mass Communications’ long history of success during a social reception between these two events.
