
Tristan Denyer, a 2008 graduate of SIUE’s school of Mass Communications, has released a new practical handbook on WordPress. The book serves as a guide for WordPress users from avoiding common mistakes when purchasing, selecting and using different WordPress themes. The book is available on Amazon for $24.99 or less. A native of Valencia, Calif., Denyer is now the lead User Experience Designer at DwellAware, a San Francisco-based startup company that researches and produces propiretary information to help potential homebuyers find new homes.
While at SIUE, Denyer earned the Robert L. Emig Mass Communications Scholarship, and also worked in the advertising department for the Alestleand produced promotional materials for the Theather and Dane Department.
Denyer is currently working on an app that helps athletes make better decisions when choosing protective gear and equipment. He is also working on the followup to his WordPress handbook: a book on WordPress plugins. Denyer recently launched a website to aid his fellow San Francisco-area designers, “SFIpsum” ( http://sfipsum.com/ ), a website of San Francisco-themed placeholder text for your projects.
Denyer graduated from SIUE with a degree in Media Advertising.
