Dr. Undrah Baasanjav (@undrah_b) will be opening the Spring Semester Speaker series of the Women’s Studies Program @SIUE on Feb 2, 2016 9:30-1030. Come and listen her talk “‘A girl move:’ Negotiating gender and technology in chess,” which will take place in Art and Design Building West 1104 on Tuesday.
Dr. Baasanjav competed internationally in women’s World Chess Olympics in 1990 (Novi Sad), 1992 (Manila), and 1994 (Moscow), and in gender-mixed tournaments at the collegiate level in the US. She won the Ohio Collegiate Championship (a mixed gender tournament) in 2003 and 2005.
